THE PROGRAMME
The Excel Teens & Adults Programme is designed to be much more than physical training. It’s a transformative journey that promotes mental strength, personal growth, and lifelong success. At Excel, we focus on cultivating life skills that go beyond the martial arts mat. Our approach integrates how teens and adults learn, ensuring they grow not only in physical prowess but also in confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being.
HELP YOU & YOUR CHILD TO EXCEL
SELF-DEFENCE:
Many people feel vulnerable and wish that they had a way to defend themselves if they end up in a dangerous situation. Martial arts classes build strength, confidence, and agility while teaching effective self-defence moves. Studying martial arts can help you shake feelings of vulnerability and believe in your ability to ward off an attack.
FITNESS:
One of the keys to getting fit is finding a workout that you genuinely enjoy doing. Excel Martial Arts workouts are fun and challenging. They burn calories while also building muscles and ramping up your metabolism. A consistent schedule of martial arts training can help you get fit, especially when combined with a healthy diet.
STRENGTH BUILDING:
Martial arts is an excellent way to build strength, offering a full-body workout that targets multiple muscle groups. Through a combination of strikes, kicks, and defensive techniques, martial arts training enhances both muscular endurance and power. The routines often involve bodyweight exercises and resistance training, improving core stability and functional strength.
SELF-ESTEEM:
It’s common for teens and adults to struggle with self-esteem as they deal with competitive academic or work environments and overloaded “to-do” lists. Teens and adults who study martial arts learn to search within themselves for their best qualities. They learn to self-motivate and not to worry what others think of them.
MENTAL HEALTH:
All people need an outlet for their worry and anxiety – and our martial arts programme for teens and adults provides it. In the absence of such an outlet, you might carry anxiety inside of you and inadvertently take it out on other people. Excel Teens & Adults program will help you releasese tension and anxiety, and keep you on an even keel mentally and emotionally.
STRESS RELIEF:
Training allows individuals to channel their stress into physical movements like strikes and defensive techniques, which can help release tension. The discipline involved in martial arts also promotes mindfulness and concentration, allowing you to leave behind daily worries and focus on the present moment. Studies have shown that martial arts can reduce anxiety, improve self-control, and promote emotional well-being.
COMMUNITY:
Martial arts fosters a strong sense of community by bringing together people who share similar goals of self-improvement and personal growth. The group training environment encourages teamwork, camaraderie, and mutual respect. This sense of belonging helps build confidence and emotional well-being as members become part of a positive, uplifting community.
MEMORY:
Martial arts significantly improves memory by challenging practitioners to learn and recall various techniques, combinations, and sequences. The concentration required to perform complex combinations sharpens cognitive abilities, making martial arts a form of brain training that enhances focus and retention. This mental exercise not only improves performance in class but also supports overall brain health.
FLEXIBILITY:
Martial arts greatly enhances flexibility through dynamic movements, stretching, and varied techniques that target different muscle groups. This increased flexibility not only supports better performance in martial arts but also helps prevent injury and promotes overall physical health. With consistent training, you become more agile and fluid in your movements, benefiting long-term mobility.
